Meet the doctor

Hi! I am Dr. Kaylee and welcome to my Magic Skagit Chiropractic practice. I have been a resident of the Skagit Valley since 2018 and plan to never leave! We settled in Mount Vernon before the birth of our daughter and have absolutely fallen in love with the area.

I primarily grew up in Marysville, WA. We moved a lot during my childhood but was fortunate to stay within Marysville from 4th -12th grade. I attended Western Washington University in Bellingham for my bachelors degree and then moved to Portland Oregon for a chiropractic graduate program. I became a chiropractor because I was raised in a family with various addictions and witnessed first-hand how prescription medications did not “fix” anything. I have been in practice since 2016! It feels good to finally work near my home in the magic of the Skagit.

I am married to a scaffold worker and we have two children, along with a couple cats and a dog.

My favorite thing to do is hiking, during the summer months you may find me out on the trails!

My Philosophy

With my decade of experience, I have homed in on therapies and a realistic style that I feel works best WITH patients rather than develop a high frequency treatment plan.

Consistency will give you the best results over frequency. I structure realistic treatment plans that work with you and your schedule. We will work on surrounding tissues in addition to chiropractic adjustments, along with giving out exercises and home care to make sure you have the tools to maintain yourself between visits.

I did not become a chiropractor to make big money. I do not believe forcing 100+ patients into a day is something worth bragging about, not to mention hard on my body! I believe of lot of health professionals (not just chiropractors) have focused too much on revenue from patient output. However, American medical insurance is a big reason why so many offices focus more on patient output than on the time spent with patients. It’s not only burning out the doctors, but patients as well. I truly want to help improve your quality of life and feel that my treatment and pricing reflects this philosophy.

I embrace a slower lifestyle and feel that everyone should be able to live slowly and with intention. Hustle culture has done NO ONE favors to their central nervous system! Anxiety and depression rates are at an all time high, it is time to break the molds and CONNECT. Good diet and exercise are no longer enough to sustain a healthy body, we also need to focus on our mental and emotional health. This is one of many reasons I had to slow down myself, I also suffer from chronic depression and anxiety and mental health is not as easy to treat as physical health.

I am excited to dive deeper into the mental health support realm as a chiropractor. There are various techniques that are better suited for highly sensitive individuals, along with trauma informed care and continuing education backed by new research. Current research is showing that spinal adjustments are changing brain chemistry from sensorimotor areas to the prefrontal cortex, cerebellum, insula, and beyond. The bottom line is this, spinal adjustments are creating measurable changes to the central nervous system and can be a valuable tool to navigating mental health.

I am looking forward to connecting with you.
