Pricing and Philosophy

My chiropractic philosophy

We live in a hyper accelerated world. In an era of AI, instant gratification, and optimization, we hardly have to think for ourselves.

Chiropractic offices are no exception to this. A lot (not all) have extremely optimized their front desk, staff, and treatment programs. Optimization is not a bad thing, but I do believe it can be overdone.

How many offices can you name that have multiple tables laid out in one area, maybe there’s some cubicle dividers, and you wait for your name to be called like a number that is then assigned to a table? While you wait for the Chiropractic doctor, are you either “stretched” on a machine or an assistant comes to work on you?

The end goal is always the same, and it’s to see as many people in a day as possible.

We have switched our focus to the outcome and not the experience

The majority of healthcare has sadly moved to this direction thanks to private equity and quite frankly, greed. It is now more focused on numbers and profits over the quality of patient care.

Burnout is at an all time high for nearly everyone. We have been put into a chronic sympathetic state to meet deadlines, profit margins, and quotas. Is it a coincidence that chronic illnesses and cancer rates seem to be drastically increasing over the last 5-10 years?

I don’t know about you, but I am personally tired of constantly being sold to or feeling like I need to purchase a program when all I need is community. I had the privilege of taking a year off to really slow down and figure out what’s important in life.

With Magic Skagit Chiropractic, we trade convenience for connection.

Being able to connect individually is what creates that community atmosphere and to help us go back into a parasympathetic state, and simply feeling cared for.

Calmer people are happy people

Living and engaging more with the parasympathetic nervous system is what gives your body the power of adaptability.

Chiropractic can be a great tool to help engage your parasympathetic nervous system.

Cervical adjustments specifically will stimulate the vagus nerve (longest cranial nerve with branches that innervate every organ in your body), but there are other exercises you can do to also stimulate the nerve.

In addition to chiropractic care at Magic Skagit Chiropractic, we have treatment in a very relaxed private atmosphere and offer longer treatment times.

Your treatment space is in a private, closed door room. Longer treatment times are what helps me connect with each patient and allows ample time for thorough assessment every time.

As the chiropractic doctor, I am performing everything from soft tissue work to the adjustments. I do not utilize assistants or large stretching machines to “optimize” my time.

With most of my patients opting for 30 min visits, the maximum I can see in a day is 12 people.

While some of my colleagues can see upwards of 50 people a day, which doctor do you think is going to have more energy and brain power by the end of their day?

For some people, those faster paced offices work best for them because they’re very busy and only have time for an appointment that takes 5-10 minutes. At the end of the day, you have to choose what’s best for you in your current season of life.

If you’re looking to slow down your pace, connect with yourself, connect with your body, and connect with those around you, then Magic Skagit Chiropractic is the place for you.

To reflect my philosophy of true whole-body care, I spend more time with patients than the average chiropractor in the area. Spending more time with patients allows me to work on surrounding soft tissues in addition to the chiropractic adjustments themselves. I do this work myself rather than having assistants or machines to truly ensure the work is being done properly. For this same reason, I no longer contract with insurance companies. Privatized health insurance has created a poor system that focuses more on profits and numbers than patient care. However, I can supply superbills per request so that you may have a chance for partial reimbursement when you submit the claim yourself.
